Are Malaysians disillusioned / frustrated?

Pada pendapat saya, nukilan ini menarik dan patut kita fahami maksudnya. Of course Smith menulis mengenai senario di US, tapi saya rasa macam mirip dengan situasi di negara kita Malaysia. Jom check it out! Dan share pendapat kalau sudi. Thanks

Lightning By Jocelynn Smith
The news has been bleak this week. The death toll is mounting in Nepal, May Day protests in Turkey, volcano eruptions continue in Chile, air strikes in Yemen, more torture and spying allegations are popping up, but I think most Americans’ eyes are on Baltimore.
I’ve made only a few short visits to the city so I’m not familiar with its various neighborhoods. As a result, I’ve reached out to my coworkers in that troubled town only to have them patiently reassure me they are safe, even as the air remains tense.
rasanya kegusaran juga berlaku di kalangan rakyat Malaysia
In fact, the atmosphere across the entire country has become tense. It’s like standing in my front yard as a child while a violent summer storm bears down on the city. You can see the fat, black clouds riding low in the sky and the distant flashes of lightning followed by the soft rumble of thunder. But until the storm hits — pounding the roof with rain and lashing at the trees — the air is thick and still. You’re waiting.
In less than a year, we’ve seen riots break out not only in Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri, but protests have spread across the country against police violence and income inequality. The president and the media tout that the economy is improving, while the middle class is shrinking. We see more evidence almost daily of the government’s efforts to spy on us, eroding our privacy. These are the flashes of lightning and growing rumbles of thunder.
So many Americans have become disillusioned and frustrated with government. We seem more prone now to deteriorating into mobs to make our voices heard. What next big event must happen before the storm finally breaks? A failure of our dilapidated and ancient power grid? Massive cuts to our social support programs? A one-time wealth confiscation to avoid default? And I wonder if too many of us are that child standing in the front yard, watching the storm roll in, rather than my mother who was wisely closing the windows, checking the flashlights and setting aside the candles and matches. I would like to hear the thoughts of readers today.
saya juga berminat mendengar pendapat anda mengenai apa yang ditulis
Do you think the protests we’ve seen in America the past several months are simply isolated incidents or are they signs of a bigger problem? Have you made plans to protect your future? Please email me at sovereigndigest@gmail.com.

For me, the windows are closed and the candles are ready. Regards, Jocelynn Smith, Sr. Managing Editor, Sovereign Investor Daily
